Bengaluru is set to become a major hub for the energy sector as Chevron, a leading international energy company, unveils plans for a significant investment in the city. The company has committed $1 billion over the next 5-6 years to establish the Chevron Engineering and Innovation Excellence Centre (ENGINE), a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance its global operations and initiatives.
The new centre will play a pivotal role in Chevron’s strategy to meet global energy demands while advancing toward a lower-carbon energy future. It will focus on integrating engineering and digital services to address current and future energy challenges.
Chevron’s investment is expected to create substantial employment opportunities, with the company planning to fill approximately 600 positions by the end of 2025. As the centre expands, additional job openings are anticipated, providing career prospects for local professionals in various engineering and technological fields.
The Chevron ENGINE facility will harness India’s vast talent pool, combining local expertise with Chevron’s global resources and experience. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging regional talent to drive innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.
