He currently serves as the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and United States Homeland Security Advisor. Miller was born in Santa Monica, California, and grew up in a liberal Jewish family.. During his time at Santa Monica High School Miller gained a reputation by expressing his conservative positions through broadcasts on conservative talk radio. In November 2019, leaked emails brought to light information that Miller advocated articles from far-right white supremacist journals and advocated conspiracy theories.
